The event is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking R&D and commercialisation partners to meet or present to targeted local Chinese businesses interested in partnering with UK technology for either R&D or commercialisation purposes. The ICUK and the Shanghai Science & Technology Commission will take the necessary steps prior to the event to ensure that the right partners for your technology will be attend.

If you are interested in joining us at the event, you will have to undergo the following application process which will take approximately three months:

  • Submission of a application form to be approved by the ICUK following initial market assessment
  • Approved applications will be sent to the Shanghai Municipal Science & Technology Commission and to determine any interest to companies based in Shanghai
  • The technologies/companies will then be chosen to present at the ICUK event based on feedback from local businesses

The cost of participation in this event is £100 (VAT inclusive) per company. This will mainly contribute towards preparing appropriate technology portfolio in Chinese for the company by the ICUK Project Manager team before submission to the Commission. Participants will have to organise and pay for their own travel costs. Other event costs will be covered by ICUK.

To apply, please send us a profile on your technology and preferred commercialisation routes in to China (500 words maximum). Email this to Lucy Ahfong at l.ahfong@qmul.ac.uk by the 26th March 2010 at the latest.
