Proof-of-Concept (PoC) Fund - Round 2 Call for Applications

Applications are now invited for the second call to the ICUK Proof of Concept Fund for proposals falling within ICUK's remit.

The ICUK Proof of Concept Fund aims to support technologies or business ideas from the research community to be further developed to the stage that a commercial company or a private investor will become engaged in the commercialisation of a new product or service.

Scientists from partner institutions and their Chinese collaborators, with the help of ICUK embedded project managers will jointly identify market-led research and development opportunities and make applications to the ICUK Proof of Concept Fund. Research and development to be carried out in China will also be funded by Chinese Ministry of Science Technology.

ICUK has at its centre £3 million in Collaboration Development Fund which will be available. It is expected that grants awarded through the Fund will be up to £90,000 over 9 to 12 months.
