ArchiveProof of Concept (PoC) Fund Application (Round 1)
Following the first call to ICUK Proof of Concept Fund formally announced at the ICUK Launch last November, 8 applications have been received from 5 UK partner institutions.
These applications cover key UK-China technology fields such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nanotechnology, Infectious Disease and Biomedical Science.
These projects involve Chinese academics from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nanjing University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Southern Medical University and Fudan University etc.
The ICUK UK assessment meeting was held on 16th January 2008. The UK assessment panel recommended 4 applications for awards and requested further information for some other applications.
The ICUK China assessment meeting has been scheduled on 20th March in Suzhou China and final decision on round 1 PoC fund awards will be announced soon.
